Trip Overview

Join other Engedi adults as we partner with Send Relief to meet needs, build relationships, and change lives through gospel-centered compassion ministry in the greater Atlanta area. The Atlanta suburb of Clarkston, where the Send Relief Ministry Center is located, is one of the most diverse communities in America. Known as the “Ellis Island of the South,” nearly 70% of the population is foreign-born, representing more than 50 countries with more than 100 distinct ethnic groups—all living within 1.4 square miles. This provides tremendous opportunities to invest in the residents of this unique community, many of whom are from unreached people groups. 

This trip is an immersive experience at the Send Relief Ministry Center, allowing you to engage in refugee ministry as well as various ministry outreach projects throughout the Atlanta metro area.  

Teams are able to participate in a variety of compassion opportunities that may include:

• apartment outreach
• food pantry ministry
• after-school programs
• sports ministry
• canvassing
• prayer walking
• homeless ministry
• physical labor
• serving at-risk families
• university campus ministry

About a third of the trip will also include aspects of training and equipping so that team members can learn how to better serve the international and refugee communities in their cities.
